The problem
Valmos is a veneer producer in Pärnu, working since 2004 and part of the Polish Paged Group. Most of what it makes is birch veneer, and in 2020 around 93% of its sales were exports, mostly to Central and Eastern Europe. Its website had to match the group and tell new customers quickly who Valmos is, what it does and what it produces.
The solution
We designed and built a new WordPress website in Estonian, English and Polish, in line with the group’s look. The structure answers the three questions fast, with pages for furniture veneer, veneer for plywood, the raw material, procurement notices and jobs.
The design is bright and natural, with timber rings running through the visuals. They nod to how the veneer is made: without chemicals, with the logs boiled in plain water and dried with heated air, using heat from a boiler fired with production waste. The footer carries the FSC certification.
The results
Valmos got a website that explains a technical product simply to buyers across Europe, in the three languages its customers and owners use.
