The problem
The product had long been used by manufacturers of ceramic sinks, bathtubs, toilets and worktops to repair chips. In 2018 alone, it fixed more than 10 million chips in over 60 countries. Now the company wanted to reach everyday customers in North America and Northern Europe, and its old name and look had been made for the trade, not for consumers.
The solution
We carried out a complete rebranding. The product got a new, protected name, Stowsen, along with a new logo, packaging and a website with an online store. The design is minimal, with a small twist: in the logo, a tiny chip is missing from the letter O. The packaging follows the line “Get rid of that chip. Fast.” Its corner looks chipped and then repaired with Stowsen in the matching colour. We also designed user manuals, refill packs, business cards, letterheads and thank-you cards.
The results
A consumer brand ready for international e-commerce, built on a product already trusted by manufacturers in more than 60 countries.
